Stabilized power supply for custom projects. DC parameters of the device can be freely set. Theoretically, the output can be anything from 1.2 up to 37 (characteristics of LM317 chip). In practice, the limit depends from available space on the board and/or rating of AC transformer used. When thinking of modern electronics, it usually ranges between 3.6 up to 12 V, 250-500 mA (1 A and more aren't that common).
Easy to build and maintain. What's most important, powered device can be plugged in to the mains directly.
The board provides space for the following: 1x AC input socket, 1x 44x37mm transformer (*1), 1x 5x20 mm glass fuse, 4x current regulating diodes, 4x capacitors, 1x LM317 and complementary capacitors and resistors: 2x to set up the output voltage, 2x additional ones for fine tuning; 1 DC output header (2.54mm), 1x 30x10 mm radiator (*2).
*1 45x40 mm is the size constraint.
*2 33x12 mm is the size constraint.
WARNING! Short circuit prevention - make sure the LM317 regulator does
not share its radiator with other components. It's back side isn't ground but
positive voltage connected.
Check order online page. The boards are also available over allegro online store.
